xlrcableThe technique we use is called the “Over/Under” method. The videos below explain both how to perform this method, as well as why this method is superior to other wrapping methods, ESPECIALLY around the elbow. As you watch the videos, you might hear the term “XLR cable.” These are the cables we use for audio and lights, as seen to the left.

This is an excellent video explaining the “Over/Under” method of cable wrapping. The guy in the video is a professional musician with experience with mobile church setup!

The video below shows another technique you can use to achieve the “Over/Under” method. As you watch more videos, you might notice a few different techniques. Try it differently and find the technique that works best for you. If you have a 50 foot extension cord you can even practice at home.
