Speakers

  • teamliftAlways use 2-3 team members to lift the main speakers into place.
  • Always place speaker stands to that, if an imaginary line were drawn between the stands, the Preacher would be behind the line to prevent feedback from the microphone.
  • For the speaker next to the emergency exit ramp, fully extend and lock the speaker stand and drop the speaker over the ramp onto the stand. (Two people holding speaker, one person standing on subwoofer)

All speaker items are located in the tote labeled “Speakers” and are tagged with ORANGE tape. Make sure all orange taped speaker items are returned to the proper tote during tear down.

Items needed (per speaker):

  • Speaker, Speaker Stand, Sub-woofer
  • Long extension cord
  • Power strip
  • Long power cord for main speaker
  • Short power cord for sub-woofer
  • Main/Sub audio cable bundle

Procedure:

  • Place speaker stands and sub-woofers
  • 2-3 team members place main speaker on stand
  • Run extension cord
  • Attach power strip (Long and Short power cables can stay attached to power strip)
  • Connect long power cable to main speaker
  • Connect short power cord to sub-woofer
  • Connect Main and Sub audio cables
  • Turn on Main speaker and Sub-woofer
